My Experience

Melissa received her master’s education at the University of Missouri Kansas City and worked many years as a labor and delivery nurse before she became a women’s health nurse practitioner.

Obstetrics has always been her passion in her professional life, so WCJC was a natural fit.

She loves working at a clinic that focuses on the wellness of the patients as well as the providers and appreciates the way the whole team pulls together to find creative solutions to offering essential women’s health care. Melissa finds it is important to take a holistic approach to wellness. She advocates for patients and encourages them to care for their nutrition and take the time for vital self-care.

I believe women are amazing people and juggle many different roles in life that can affect their health, and that makes me passionate about empowering them to take control of their overall health

I am committed to integrating both holistic and conventional medicine into my practice, focusing on health prevention and nutrition.

Outside of Work

A family-oriented physician.

When it comes to free time, it’s all about her family. A mother of three children and one dog, Melissa spends most of her free time outside of work as a “football, wrestling, and dance mom” for her kids. She and her husband enjoy taking the kids to the beach or out boating with friends and their extended family.
