My Experience

Sharon Maturo, MD has been in practice since 2001 after completing her residency at University of Texas and an academic appointment as assistant clinical professor at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

She builds deep, meaningful relationships with her patients as well as her coworkers. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Maturo is always listening to others. She thinks delivering babies is the most special part of being an OB/GYN and considers her patients to be friends and family.

Every day is an exciting opportunity for me to connect with my patients. I strive not only to provide knowledge, but to furnish real and resourceful solutions for each woman’s unique issues. I love that every woman is a one-of-a-kind individual.

This is what makes medicine such a “personal” business. Each baby delivered is a gift.

Each surgery performed is a new challenge, and at the same time – a chance to deliver healing where it is needed.

Outside of Work

Art, Music, Medicine.

Dr. Maturo is a talented pianist as well as a talented physician. Music and art have become a major part of Dr. Maturo’s life outside of work. She and her significant other spend their time creating and taking in art of all kinds. She enjoys live concerts, Broadway musicals, museums, fashion, photography, and food!
