My Experience

Dr. Shipman has expressed how grateful she is to work with such amazing people at WCJC.

As an ob/gyn physician, she has the opportunity to walk with her patients through all stages of life. She knows the importance of equally valuing the happy times and the times of struggle, from helping patients through infertility and miscarriages to the happiest of labor and deliveries.

I am so proud to have the opportunity to better the health and well-being of women in my community.

It is an honor to work with a group of physicians who respect the privilege of patient care. I strive to be thought of as a reliable health resource and educator to my patients.

I firmly believe that women, when given knowledge and support, can achieve the physical and mental well-being they deserve.

Outside of Work

About Dr. Sharla Shipman

When Dr. Shipman is not working, she’s all about her family, her friends and her faith. She has so much fun with her two daughters and as a family they love to travel pretty much to any place warm and sunny that has a beach! She is known as a very energetic, positive person. She loves to run, hike, paddle board and kayak. Dr. Shipman’s favorite non profit in Kansas City is Safehome. She has been personally involved with them since 2016 and has gotten WCJC involved as well. Safehome is doing so much good work for our community that Sharla is passionate about being able to help however WCJC can.
